About Job:

• To oversee the day-to-day operations of a highly effective, safe, and enjoyable boarding programme across the entire school
• To provide on the job training and development, setting realistic targets to enable the staff to achieve their objectives, providing support and evaluating staff performance
• To ensure the effective allocation of educational and human resources
• To select, lead and manage the Boarding staff, ensuring that the School’s expectations regarding services and exceptional standards are delivered by every staff member in the Boarding House every day
• Supervise the boarding budget and ensure control of expenditure;
• In partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, to provide collaborative and engaged leadership such as in health care, academic competitions, school events, psychological counselling and children protection, to support the overall aspirations and development plans
• To participate as required in the preparation for IB authorization and evaluation, as well as for accreditation visits.
• To perform ad hoc tasks as directed by the Head of the School
• To collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement professional growth and development models (appraisal and PD)
• To participate in the selection and appointment of staff
• To assist and develop the marketing of the school in coordination with the marketing department
• To coordinate and lead whole school events and parent information sessions
• To engage actively and develop initiatives with the IB regional network and various examination boards
• Act as the safeguarding Lead for Boarding
• To embrace actively the role of pastoral care leader for the boarding house
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to Child Protection Act, Human Rights Act, Health & Safety at Work Act, Keeping Children Safe in Education
• To participate in pastoral curriculum planning and collaboration with colleagues to
• develop the pastoral care programme
• To exercise a safeguarding and wellbeing duty of care in accordance with the School’s policies and procedures

About You:

  • • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • A teaching qualification recognized by the Chinese Visa Authority
    • At least 10 years of experience in senior management positions in international schools.
    • Direct experience of leadership in a boarding or residential childcare environment
    • Evidence of continued professional development

About Contract:

• Contract Period: 2 years

• Salary Range: RMB 30K-42K/month before tax
