About Job:

• English support classes are meant to work together with classroom and specialist teachers, supporting students who have any difficulty with the expected level of English.
• Ensure that students achieve key learning outcomes, targeting instruction to address individual needs
• Successfully support students' remedial linguistic needs in all grade levels, through a variety of different well-planned and evidence-based strategies
• Build a learning atmosphere that leads students to feel part of a rigorous but joyful learning community
• Collaborate intensively with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and continually deepen student learning
• Inspire trust and confidence among parents and families

About You:

  • • At least two years of experience teaching English as an additional language or English literacy in a K-12 setting with clear evidence of student learning and growth
    • A deep understanding of language development and all the nuances involved to be able to target specific support to different students, at different levels
    • A strong ability to develop students into passionate, curious and skillful readers and writers, by engaging them in interesting, meaningful and challenging work
    • Profound commitment to ensuring and nurturing children's wellbeing
    • Highly effective collaborator, eager to listen deeply, contribute to a team and achieve goals together
    • Dedication to learning and developing the craft of teaching
    • Very resourceful and adaptive, eager to embrace constant change, growth and learning
    • Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in education or related field is ideal
    • Native-level proficiency in English, fluency in Mandarin is a plus

About Contract:

• Contract Period: 2 years

• Approximate Dates for the School Year: Aug 1-July 30

• Salary Range: RMB 30K-47K/month before tax
