Our School, a new and innovative world-class school, is set to commence operations from August 2024. Located in the picturesque city of Hangzhou, the school offers bilingual and international education.

Our K-12 program - bilingual and international, are meticulously designed to provide students with the National Curriculum of China and an international curriculum that prepares them for the IB philosophy

About Job:

• Ensuring the safeguarding and well-being of all our boarding pupils.
• Creating and sustaining the experience, tone and ethos of the boarding programme.
• Ensuring that the pastoral needs of each pupil are met.
• Ensuring each pupil’s individual circumstances, needs, strengths and weaknesses are identified and known by staff as needed.
• Developing a program of activities that children will enjoy and that will help them grow after their regular school day is over.
• Maintaining consistency in our pastoral and academic approach, particularly in areas that impact our students’ academic progress.
• Being actively involved in relevant management meetings.
• Ensuring all department members build and maintain cooperative relationships with parents and carers and communicate with them with empathy and authority.
• Lead the development and training of boarding staff, ensuring the highest standards of performance, demonstrating a commitment to self-improvement, personal development, and a genuinely reflective professional culture.
• Be fiscally minded. o Promoting the school’s values and rules, maintaining good order, discipline and respect for others among students.

About You:

  • • Possesses a wealth of successful experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
    • With a strong sense of empathy and creativity and will be responsible for establishing a new boarding school experience and implementing unique management systems and holistic education program.
    • Prior work experience in China and the ability to speak both English and Chinese would be advantageous, there will be a Chinese Head of Boarding appointed to share the leadership responsibilities
