We offer a US Common Core curriculum with Advanced Placement courses, prioritizing holistic education. About Job:

The makerspace facilitator ensures that faculty and students can. use the makerspace smoothly and safely. He or she manages the physical infrastructure of the makerspace, ensures the safety of its users, collaborates with faculty to develop educational programming, and is an advocate for innovative teaching and learning. Operating under the Director of Educational Technology, the makerspace facilitator actively develops and promotes. initiatives to maximize the educational benefit of the makerspace to school faculty, staff, students, parents, and outside partners and guests.

Reports to: Director of Educational Technology

• Provide instructional and logistical support for projects/activities requiring the makerspace
• In collaboration with other stakeholders,
• Research and propose makerspace projects
• Develop and ensure student health and safety protocols
• Assist with the organization of special makerspace events
• Ensure cleanliness and physical integrity of the makerspace; present always when teachers or students are using the space
• Manage reservations for the makerspace and supervise students during open hours between 8am and 4:30pm.
• Working with the purchasing officer, ensure that appropriate resources are present
• Provide basic maintenance to makerspace equipment, facilitating external repairs when necessary

About You:

    • An interest in design, fabrication, and student-directed learning, especially in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
