About Job:

  • • Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging performing arts curriculum, integrating best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
    • Plan and lead performances, productions, and extracurricular activities that enhance students' artistic development.
    • Care, maintenance and security of all music department equipment and facilities
    • Ensures the curriculum and the performance programs are selected and sequenced coherently across all developmental phases of schooling
    • Support the school’s commitment to professional development and staff training.
    • Ensures a comprehensive range of curriculum compliant assessment strategies are used by all staff to diagnose learning needs
    • Contribute to whole-school initiatives, marketing efforts, and student recruitment.
    • Collaborate with school leadership, curriculum leaders, and parents to foster a strong performing arts culture.
    • Allocation of teaching loads for music department staff, in collaboration with the Manager of Staffing and Human Resources and the Curriculum Administrator

About You:

  • • A Bachelor’s Degree or above
    • Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree or above in Performing Arts, Music, Drama, or a related field;
    • Experience of curriculum planning and leading a department or school-wide performing arts program is advantageous.
    • Hold a teacher certificate
    • Be good at communicating with students and stimulate their initiative in learning.
    • Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills and team work spirit.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to professional development.

About Contract:

• Contract Period: 2 years
• Student Contact days: 190
• Approximate Dates for the School Year: Aug 6 -June 14
