About Job:
- • To Educate students and parents about universities, the university admissions process, trends, procedures, and testing.
• To be aware of issues and trends in college admission, higher education, testing, as well as keeping up-to-date about specific colleges and maintaining membership in professional organizations.
• To keep students, parents, and staff informed of relevant deadlines and support them throughout the varied application processes for multiple university destinations.
• To support the wider university guidance team in building relationships with university representatives.
• To provide materials needed to support a student’s application, including transcripts, counselor
• recommendations, and academic references.
• To advise students in adopting appropriate strategies for pre-admissions tests and assisting the wider university guidance team with scheduling/registering students and facilitating tests where necessary.
• To advise students individually in choosing appropriate institutions and courses which support their specific needs and aspirations.
• To participate in the ongoing development and implementation of a careers education program for all grades along with other members of the University Advising department.
About You:
- • A Master’s degree
• More than 5 years experience in supporting applications to the United Kingdom, most importantly Oxford and Cambridge.
• Hold a teacher certificate
• Be good at communicating with students and stimulate their initiative in learning.
• Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills and team work spirit.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to professional development.
About Contract:
• Contract Period: 2 years
• Student Contact days: 190
• Approximate Dates for the School Year: Aug 6 -June 14
